Allright, Time To Get This Blog Going Again
Even if only temporarily. This past weekend was a HUGE for the EPL...
Arsenal went into the weekend up 2 points on Man United, 5 on Chelsea, and 13 on 4th place Everton...yes, that's right, Everton is doing better than their Red neighbors Liverpool. Anyway, this weekend had United going up against Derby rivals Man City, and Liverpool was going up against Chelsea. The Early game was United/City, and I expect a match where United feeds off the emotions of the 50th Anniversary of the Busby Babes' Munich Airplane Crash, and easily defeat the Citizens...But DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING!...City was able to STUN united 2-1, and they didn't even boo during the Moment of Silence! Two Huge Upsets!
Then upon knowledge that Chelsea could close the gap considerably with a win over struggling liverpool, they get out there, and do Nothing! Squat, Shit, Plop NOTHING. And draw 0-0.
This leaves Arsenal playing Blackburn today for a shot to go 5 clear on United, and 8 clear on Chelsea. This may be the biggest matches of the year, if not the past 3 or 4 years!
As much as I feel that Arsenal will pretty much seal the deal on the season with a win, I think you could almost count them out if they lose.
Speaking of Arsenal and United...can we please mention the years that both Emanuel Adebayor and especially Cristiano Ronaldo are having?
I mean, 19 goals apiece in the league...for Adebayor, it says...Henry who? And for Ronaldo, this has to be one of the single greatest seasons of all time. ON a team with striking options of Rooney/Tevez/Saha, Ronaldo has been able to score 19 Goals from an Attacking Midfield spot, truly amazing. Ad much as I hate the guy for being a diving pretty boy, he's got as much talent as I've seen in the past 7 years or so of watching the EPL. Here's a video of some Adebayor highlights...
